PBIS

We got platinum!

We are proud to share some exciting news!
Perez Career Transition Center has been officially recognized by the State of California for our school-wide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and the positive impact it has made on our students.

Even more remarkable—Perez CTC is the first and only Career Transition Center in LAUSD to receive this honor! This recognition highlights the commitment of our teachers, staff, students, and families in creating a supportive, safe, and empowering learning environment where all students can thrive.

This achievement is a true reflection of our shared dedication to our motto: Onward and Upward – Soaring Eagles. We should all feel very proud of this milestone!

About Us

Welcome to our school! We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.

Principal's Message

From the Principal’s Desk

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Perez Career and Transition Center.

Our instructional focus is teaching entry-level job skills to students to prepare them as work-capable and hirable by employers. Our vocational educators are highly committed to providing the students with the best opportunities for becoming independent adults, prepared for life in the workforce. We emphasize a hands-on, practical transition-to-work program that provides students with the tools and support necessary to live and work as independently as possible after completing school. Perez offers a continuum of programs, including job internships at local businesses, training for the public transportation system, and vocational training classes here at Perez, and at East Los Angeles Community College.
